A Spooky Month

In case you missed it last week on the Fancy Pants blog, here’s a fun little Halloween project for you.  Did you know Fancy Pants has free downloadable goodies every Friday?  And each month one of those is a calendar.  I took the October calendar and turned it into both a functional and decorative piece for my desk.  Yes, I still like a good old fashioned written schedule!

See the full instructions on how I made this here.

Halloween Harvest

October is my favorite month… the crisp leaves, Halloween fun, and the traditions (and eating) that comes along with harvest time!

Paper Issues is kicking off the new Halloween Harvest theme till October 20th and YOU could win your choice of kit from Gossamer Blue!

PI kit sponsor
Like Gossamer Blue on Facebook and start following their blog, too, and you could win one of their fabulously coordinated kits.

And if you need to shop before you can create (don’t we all!?) head on over to the Paper Issues store with the coupon code “SCRAPGOO” and save yourself 20% on everything.  Yeah, harvest that!!

In honor of the Halloween Harvest theme I created these haunted butterfly houses:

butterfly-houses
These are made from small wood birdhouses, wood candlestick holders, and the Fancy Pants Oct. 31 digital collection.  I pulled off a hybrid project by printing the papers and embellishments and fussy cutting them.

World Card Making Day

Ohhh, the interwebs is abuzz with World Card Making Day!  It seems like everyone is busting out the paper scraps and sentiment stamps to celebrate and I surely can’t be left behind!

Fancy Pants has teamed up with a favorite of mine… Operation Write Home.  OWH sends cards overseas to our men and women in uniform for them to send home to their loved ones.  I highly recommend checking out exactly what they do and contributing! Head on over to the Fancy Pants blog to see some inspiring cards, a blog hop, and giveaways!

I created this baby card using the Hopscotch collection and an Artist Edition alphabet card:

Paper Issues is also having a ton of fun today on our Facebook page

PI WCMD

We’re giving away four $20 Paper Issues gift certificates to lucky peeps who post a card to our wall.  Easy!
Annnnnnnd… don’t forget that you can use my code “SCRAPGOO” in the Paper Issues store *anytime* for a cool 20% off!

Here are a couple of super simple toddler birthday cards I whipped up last month.  We had a three year old girl’s birthday to attend:

Circus-Tent-Card

And a four year old boy’s fire truck party too:

Fire-Truck-Card

Both of these were cut with the Silhouette.  The circus tent card uses Fancy Pants’ Summer Soul collection and the fire truck card is entirely cardstock… which I never do!

Finally, if you need a challenge to get your mojo flowing head on over to Pink Paislee where you can enter to win the entire City Sidewalks collection!

city side

All you have to do is create a card around any of our 5 challenges:

You can link up an image of your card to any blog post from this week or link up your project on the Pink Paislee Facebook page
